850 still dead, is it the starter? 850

My 95' 850 is still dead in my driveway after 3 days. Still the same symptons, when I turn the key all the lights go on, the windows work, the a/c, anything electrical, it all works. This leads me to believe that it would not be the battery or the alternator. I have noticed that when I turn the key and leave it in the number II position there is a slight hum and vibration over the black plastic piece over the throttle boby area to the right of the fuel rail, and it is constant when the key is in that position. I have been told it might be the alarm cutting the power off for some reason and if I had a keyless remote that would fix it, some of you mentioned the ignition switch or the PNP switch, which I read up and found out it has to do with the back up lights, which I did have a probelem with when I first purchased the car 7 months ago. If anyone knows of a connection between the two please respond or any other information that may help. Thank you for reading.
