How much coolant did the car lose? In other words, how much coolant did you have to add in order to bring it up to the proper level?

If the cooling system stayed full or nearly so, as volvospeed stated, probably no damage was done.

Most people figure that a quickie oil change is better than none - this is not always the case.

In my case, someone at Jiffy lube of Lowell Mass. bent the lock on my transmission dip stick on our 740. When I questioned the supervisor, he told me that he was sorry, but he did not deny the deed. Later I purchased another 740 that had its oil changed regularly by the same chain. Guess what? The lock on that car was bent in the same manner!
