Timing Belt Change S70

All,

I have a 1999 Volvo S70 (5 Speed) which has been super. (Still has the original brake pads!!!) I have 82,000 miles on the car and I recently bought it off my own lease. It of course had to go through the Volvo inspection so I could get the warranty to 100K which covers everything.

My question is; The owners manual says the timing belt does not need to be replaced until 105,000. This seems like a very very long time. Should I replace it sooner? Are they holding up that long? What is everyones experience? I would hate to have this go.

Thanks

John,
