Hey there me again:
Well after the responses here and of my friends and family I'm going to keep her around a bit longer. In general the car's good to me, and after

1) Getting the report from the Porsche mechanic on all of the work I'll be doing in the next year or so

2) Driving to work through the storm that slammed New Jersey in my 850, and that was just rain....

I think a paid up good condition 850 is better then a $1000 beater I'd end up buying in November! Thanks for the advice...
