Boge or Bilstein? 850 1996

Bilstein improved my ride and handling. At 90k, my Boge was still good to go, but I optioned to improve the handling of my car, not really concerned about comfort. Went with Bilstein and never looked back. It no longer feels like it's going to bottom out on dips, and it handles the bumps on the road a little more eloquently. Squat on acceleration was reduced, and carrying passengers and luggage feels more secure. Many curse its firm ride, but I'd rather have that than mushy. Cost would be the only downside of Bilstein, but you seem to be ok with it. Your mechanic recommends them, what does he think?
