Frozen Transmission or locked ABS 850 1995

I need help. Pulled into the grocery store parking lot. Put the car into reverse. It bucked and just about locked up. I could barely pull into a parking slot. The car will barely move both forward and backward, but it feels like you are power braking. No ABS, TRACS or transmission idiot lights.
She's still in the parking lot tonight. Tomorrow I will jack up the rear to see if all wheels and brakes are locked up, or just the front transmission. I'll also pull the error codes.

I saw a brief description like mine in the archives. Do I really need a $2,500 transmission or is it something I can fix myself?
