Rattle in driver's side door S40-V40 2002

My 2002 V-40 has developed an annoying rattle in the driver's side front door. Sounds like it is coming from the lock mechanism, or perhaps from the safety belt mechanism. It can be heard when traveling on slightly bumpy roads. Anybody else experience this, and any clues as to where this rattle may be coming from?
