yeah I know about the synthetic oil I usually use this stuff called redline but recently started using mobil cause costco (california) sells them in bulk for a good price ..and I keep hearing about this bevel gear going out on awd's it hasnt happen to me yet (knock on wood or titanium) with 94K on a 98 v70r ..I do alot of driving on snow and icy tahoe / colorado roads but then again i do take good care of my brick so what is this bevel gear ??? it sounds kinda expensive ...and what can you do to keep it from damage ...??? how can you tell if its dead.....???
