Clutch Noises 1998 T5 V70-XC70 1998

Clutch engagement is fine, smooth and quiet, but when releasing and accelerating in 1st you get this humming noise while the clutch is being taken out. It stops when the clutch is fully out. It gets worse the longer the car has been running. The noise isn't accompanied by any slippage or shuddering.

Any ideas?

Car has 80,000 miles on it, original clutch. Clutch does not slip or grab, actuation is smooth etc.

If you want an example as to what this humming sounds like, take a wooden chair on a tile floor and push it. It'll most likely make a vibrating / humming noise similar to the clutch.

Any help on this is appreciated.
