5 cyl power question S70

I'm looking to buy a used S70 and drove one the other day (non turbo). It seemed to be a little buzzy and slow to me. I've had a bunch of rear wheel drive 700 turbos that were pretty quick. My question is do you folks think my experience was unique (bad car) or is this typical? Thanks and any advice in what to consider in addition on this type of car is appreciated.
