Power Antenna Maintance: what type of grease? S70 2000

Yes, I strike again.

The dealer recommended that I grease the power antenna every couple of months, roughly at the same time I switch out the air filters. I was looking at the grease on the antenna, and I don't recognize the type. It's pretty thick stuff.

For my current solution I cleaned the antenna and gave it a good coat of white lithium grease. I figure its metal on metal contact, and that should do OK. The only think is that grease comes in an air sole can, and when you spray it on the antenna it gets all over the back of the car. It’s a pain to get grease off your Volvo by the way.

Any tips you fellow owners have for the power antenna.
