TRANSMISSION FLUSH FEARS... V70-XC70 1998

Just made an appointment w/AAMCO Transmission shop to Flush Trans., Change Filter and Put in New Oil. I asked about synthetic oil and was told ( by AAMCO ) that It's Best not to use synthetic unless that's what is in the tranny now..because you can't get all the old oil out and the two different types don't mix well......Isn't That what the $99 Flush&Fill is all About?? Or are these guys selling me a bill of goods and NOT Really going to flush the thing out??
Should I try the Volvo Dealer?
