SC-816 acting up V70-XC70 1998

I ran into the same problem this morning.
What helped is to press 1 and turn on the radio again. Apparently that resets the volume. Dunno whether it is a structural solution.
The CD changer thing sounds wierd to me. Volvo radio's are know for being picky when it comes to playing CDs (esp. copied CDs!)
