Volvo TSB 3360011 covers removing the switch without removing the
door panel. Mostly instructions to convert a 1.25 inch spatula to
a special tool (really!). I saw it at alldatadiy.com (you pay
$25/year to access technical info and it's copyrighted so I can't
repost it). A dealer would be able to print it for you.
