My ABS module was replaced by the dealer yesterday (79,000 miles) for $416(part)and $68(1 hour labor) I called Volvo customer service and they are supposed to review my complaint and get back to me. I also followed the link to the NTSB and recorded the information. After reading all the posts on this problem it is obviously a defect that the manufacturer should be responsible for. I will be lobbying very hard for reimbursemnt and hope others do the same.
