Nightmare - 850 GLT with old timing belt 850 1992

Hi there , just want to share a nightmare with all of you

This weekend i went by bus about 500 Kilometers to get my girlsfriends mom's car back to our home ( 850 GLT 1992 , AUTO TRANNY ). When preparing for the ride home i noticed by the service records that something wasnt right... According to service manual the timing belt had been changed at 75000 km and that's fine, counldt find any other record of the belt beeing replaced later on... The problem is , the car has 200.000 kilometers on it!!! and the timing belt interval is 75000 km ... Looked under the hood , there was a poster from volvo saying the timing belt was last changed 1995 , at 75000 km ... Geee , I would drive 500 km with a car that has gone over 120.000 kilometers on a timing belt thats got an interval of 75k !!!
and 2 years past time...

Being scared and out of other options , i drove tha car home , no problems , no nothing , just a smoothe nice comfortable 1992 GLT ride..... 6 hours later , home sweet home....

Monday morning the mechanic will change the timing belt

not a minute later....

things went ok this time....
