Roof Rails etc S70 2000

I'm in the same boat, just without the Saab parts. I've been looking all over the place. So far it seems Thule and Yakima each make roof systems for the Volvo. The kicker is Thule makes a specific version for the S70/850. I'm picking up the dealer accessory guide to see how much the Volvo branded Thule kit costs.
Here is the fitting guide online at REI:
http://www.rei.com/online/store/RackFitter?type=thule¤tStep=1&storeId=8000&&platform=pc&browser=IE

Right now I'm looking at over $200 for the Thule kit. That's from REI or VolvoWorld. The Thule kit has specific brackets for our cars.

For all of these roof systems the bike carrier works with the round bars, or square bars, depending on the bars you get. If you already have a bike kit or other kit from the Saab, check the type of bars the kit used. You should be able to use the Saab ski/bike carrier, just match up the bar type.

Hopefully some folks on this board have been in the same place as us.

I also want to know did any one with a bike carrier go with a hitch mounted carrier? Is it a big pain to put a trailer hitch on an S70?

My fiancé doesn't like the roof rack, but I'm not all that keen on putting a hitch on my car.

Thanks for the help,

JH
