Annoying brake warning light S70 1998

I'd check the brake fluid level. If it is close to being low enough
to trigger the light, then braking might cause the fluid to shift for
a second triggering the dash light.

If it really is delayed for a tenth of a second, then I'd be concerned
about that. The 3rd brake lights used now are LEDs since they come up
to full brightness faster (faster being tenths of seconds) and that is
considered enough to make them worth the extra cost ("faster" brake
lights reduce the chance of being rear-ended).
