Anyone experienced any problems with modifying waste gate settings? 850 1996

Benefits from waste gate rod adjustments are temporary. The higher mtnifold pressure will be detected by the ECU and it will adjust the WG accordingly. For information on the permanent cons of excessive wastegate-rod-dickage, search this forum for "connecting rods."

Now, devices that work between the ECU and the turbo's WG control valve or otherwise intercept or interfere with the ECU's control of the WG seem to be the way to go. Just remember, there really ain't no free lunch.

Cheers,
