exhaust problem unusual? 850 1995

I developed an exhaust leak just above the "expansion joint". This is where the exhaust manifold which looks like a header connects into this joint. The crack is not what looks like a braided steel line but just above it.

I am wondering if anyone has ever tried to repair ir or knows of where one can get either an aftermarket header for better performance or is the dealer the only place for this part?
