Center console wiring 850 1993

So, I'm sitting here trying to understand what the wiring diagrams in the Haynes Manual translate to in real life & am totally perplexed. Here's what I want to know: I want to install a switch into an empty slot in the center console (where the window controllers, heat seaters, etc. are.) I need to connect this switch to a 12V power source & I need to connect another wire to ground. What's the easiest place to connect in this area? I'd imagine I can just splice into existing wires running in that area - I just don't know which ones. Then again, I could be totally wrong, as I'm pretty much completely inexperienced in electrical work. Looking forward to the abundant knowledge that is the brickboard...
