Is Mike Veglia on the board? 850

Mike,

On October 10 of last year, you responded to a post:

"I just did this job last Saturday on ours. The lamps are 6.75VDC (a very wierd voltage) Alpine lamps. Good luck there, Alpine offers zero support whatsoever for O.E. radios (one more reason for to not like Alpine...though they do make good stuff)."

Can you tell me how you arrived at that 6.75 VDC figure?

My radio lamps have burned out and, the other day, I took the radio apart and temporarily secured two wires to the printed circuit board pads which power the lamps. I then put the radio back in the car with these two wires snaking their way out the front of the radio. I measured the voltage across these wires and got 11.83 VDC.

I've got a '96 850 wagon w/the SC-710 radio.

If anyone knows of a supplier for replacement bulbs, I'd appreciate the lead.

Ken
