Wiring Harness Disintegration: A Volvo Classic S70 1999

After suffering through 240 and 740 wiring harness issues, I was surprised to find today while changing spark plugs on my S70 GLT that the wires leading to each ignition coil pack had the outter cover breaking apart and spewing small plastic pieces all over the place. Biggest concern here is that these small plastic pieces could get under the timing belt!! YIKES!

Heads up, but I would really expect Volvo to have a recall over this, which of course they won't (ever see Fight Club?)

Anyway, heads up. I'm going to send Volvo a letter and see if they will cover a new harness under good will.
