Problem with c70 convertible top C70 2001

I noticed a peculiar behaviour in the convertible top of my 2001 C70. When I park my car in an open parking lot under direct sunlight (office parking lot) and try to take the top down in the evening (car is parked in the sun for more than 8 hours) it stops half way through. The temperature inside the car is more than 72F. There is a small motor fixed in the frontside of the top that locks the top. This motor dies after pushing the top half way through.

This does not happen when I park the car in a parking garage (under shade).
I took the car to my dealer and unfortunately they were unable to reproduce the problem that day as the weather was cold.

I'm posting this message to find out if anyone else has similar problem.
