Anyone install an ammeter? 850

Yesterday, without previous symptoms, my '95 855t cranked slowly. The battery, a "Volvo", is about a year and a half old. I hadn't given much thought until that moment to the lack of an ammeter in the dash.

Anyone find a small, illuminated, analog model they like and a convenient mounting spot? I'm thinking about the ash tray compartment as I don't use it. Perhaps a unit from another Volvo?

I'd like to be able to keep an eye on what the charging system's doing and not wait for a dead battery or an idiot light.

Thanks,
--
Erwin in Memphis, '95 855t
