is this a trailer wiring connector V70-XC70 2002

While moving into my new 2002 V70, I noticed a connector on the inside rear surface of the spare tire well. It has lots of wires coming in, and none coming out. Is this a hookup for some Volvo trailer light wiring converter? On my '99 V&), I had the U-haul version of connector, with a magic box which had a power supply running all the way to the battery. It worked perfectly. I had my new hitch put on last Saturday but the installer's trailer light guy was on vacation. I'm thinking maybe I got lucky and should just call my dealer's parts dept. for the dedicated other half of my connector, with attached factory approved magic box???

Has anyone else used the factory connector (with or without a Volvo magic box)?
