I don't really have an idea of price. You could do it yourself if you got a metric VDO cluster, but the problem would be retaining the proper mileage...depends on whether you ever play to resell or not.

If you search here on brickboard you might find there was a guy a while ago who got a Canadian T5R and switched it to an english cluster. I can't seem to find the thread myself, but it was over the summer...June or July I believe.
