TURBO INLET HOSE _ 98 S70 S70

I sent the brick in for an oil change this morning and was later told that the Turbo Inlet Hose and the Turbo Drain Tube were in need of repair. They stated that the Inlet hose was cracked from wear and tear and the Tube was leaking?

Is this a common problem? They tried hitting me up for $300.00 but the Turbo Drain Tube was covered under warranty. - so it was $200.00. They did not have an answer as to why the other part was not covered?

Now I'm really debating if I should extend the warranty - only 400 miles left!!!
