Replacing rear pads V70-XC70 1998

I'm replacing the rear pads on my '98 V70 for the first time. The Chilton manual says to push out the retaining pins to get the pads out. I've looked all over and see no retaining pins to remove. These are the Girling calipers, so I'm thinking I should just remove the entire calipers to gain access to the pads. Can anyone set me straight on the proper procedure to replace the rear pads on my car? Thanks!
