ticking noise comming from engine 850

The noise you are hearing will not go away when you change the oil/ It is caused by the seals for the oil pan. There are quite a few volvos that have this noise and I have made them quieter by changing all the related seals. this is a problem where the seals shrink and then there is air being pushed into the lifters. The good news is that the new seals will cure the problem as they are of a different make up and dont tend to shrink.
If you want more of an explanation on how to go about doing this job let me know.
