1998 V70 GLT/AWD Issues? V70-XC70 1998

I'm a long time owner of RWD Volvos, I presently have a '90 244 and a '94 945T.

A relative of mine has the opportunity to bid on a company car, a 1998 V70 AWD. I'd like to get your opinions on this model before she puts the bid in, she's planning on lowballing and see where she gets... She drives a VW Jetta now. I'm hoping to get another family member in the Volvo (for life) club like me but I don't want her left with a bad taste if the car has more than it's fair share of issues.

The car has 45k miles and has a solid service history. She drove the car last week, liked it, but said that there was a noticable vibration that seemed to come from the tranny at around 40mph. She was in Economy mode, would the different tranny settings have much to do with it?
