Pads and Rotors 850 1996

Hi, I am getting ready to replace front pads and rotors on my '96 850 Turbo and would like the benefit of others' experience.
First, I have read and printed the step by step instruction for replacing the front brake pads on the easternaerospace site as well as front brake replacement instructions from Bay 13 on Volvospeed.
Has anyone used instructions from any other website and if so, which one(s) did you find helpful?
Second, I am considering purchasing the "package" of Zimmerman cross-drilled rotors with mintex pads as sold by the New and Used Volvo Parts web site. The entire package is $139.00 which seem extremely reasonable, although I have read that metallic pads make more noise and eat rotors faster.
Any comments or suggestions from anyone who visits Brickboard and has had first hand knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Fred.
