SONY CD CHANGER Compatable 850

I am just going by what I was told when I put my Alpine changer in...that is that the only changers that will work are the Alpine with the Volvo adapter and a USA SPEC changer (or something like that) that Crutchfield and some others sell. I had a JVC I wanted to use.
I ended up doing the Alpine/Volvo adapter from Circut City.
