Easing up on gas when automatic transmission changes gears 850

Actually your auto tranny is electronically programed to ease off power at shifts, so you are not hurting it at full throttle. If you want to ensure many good years of life, flush tranny every 15-20,000 miles, and use synthetic ATF. My trannies are going like new, handling much more power than the stock setting.
