ABS Light and Shifter stuck 850 1995

I have noticed that sometimes when I start my car the ABS light stays on and I cannot get the the shifter out of Park. If I restart my car (sometimes it takes more than once)I can get it into gear and then the light switches off.

Anybody have any tips on what this is and how expensive it is to correct?

By the way my car is a 1995 850 GLT but has the OBD II connector under the ash tray, just in case that matters.

I have seen some other threads re: bad connections & crimp problems under the fuse box is this related to this issue?

I cannot recall the light ever coming on while driving.
