Throttle body cleaning 850 1995

I just replace the Flame Trap in my 850 GLT Non/turbo 1995 and clean a little bit the front of the Throttle body I didn't try to open it so I could reach the back ... is it ok to manually open the throttle body without damage something? ;o) or in orden to clean well that I need to take off from there? also Can I spray carbonator cleaner inside the throttle body?
