Electrical system going haywire 850 1995

Thanks for all of your suggestions, we will follow them carefully. Just so you know, we ALWAYS take the car to a Volvo certified mechanic. The original battery was replaced 4 years ago, first with a Sears, and then a months later with another Volvo battery, and then another. We have asked them (Martin's Manhattan, the dealer/mechanics) to try different mechanics witin the company (2 minds bing better than one.) We have no way of knowing that they actually do that since the place is so big. We park the car outside in an open garage, so I think the corrosion thing is the best clue.

I really appreciate your thoughts. Thanks! Molly
