850 Starter/Ignition Issues??? 850

I haven't had it happen to my 850 but I had it happen in a ....... gulp ... Ford a long time ago and it ended up being the ECU itself starting to crap out. I changed it out and the problem went away. But on the Volvo thats an expensive guess. But if you were thinking of an IPD ECU upgrade anyway this might be the excuse. If you're not getting any DTC codes stored it could possibly point to the computer itself. See if it also happens during the cooler winter months maybe that will give you some clues. You can take the ECU out and see if there's any corrosion on any of the contacts that might need brushing off too. Good luck ........ Mike
