1999 v70 climate control system V70-XC70 1999

The owner's manual is available online at the Volvo website.

You need to register, but go to "Owners Circle" to "Caring for your Volvo" to "Electronic Glovebox" to "Owner's Manual" and click on "1999 SVC70". The owner's manual has pictures with labels, etc.

The automatic climate control has several sensors and an IR sensor that tells the ACC computer if it's sunny or not. I usually pick a comfortable temperature and keep everything on "automatic" and the AC is usually running. The AC is usually programmed to run on most contemporary cars in the "defrost" setting because it dries the air, which is helpful in defogging the windshield.
