headlamp works/not work every other start up or so ???!!??? 850 1996

my right low beam headlamp does not turn on every now and then. if i try to take it off, it lights up. i'll put it back in and works for anywhere like 2 to 8 start ups. then it will do the same thing again. i tried cleaning the contacts with contact spray cleaner and still does it. i'll try replacing it and see what happens. i use philips blue vision (hope i can find them still available).
