OEM Tires on 1998 T5 Manual... S70 1998

What was the OEM tire on a 1998 T5 Manual? Tirerack's site claimed 205 50 16 but my S70 T5M has 205 55 16s on it now (I purchased the car used last spring with about 33000 miles on it). I THINK the prior owner replaced the tires and, possibly, went with a lower profile tire. Called my local Volvo dealer and he said 205 50 16s, NOT 55s.

When I queried the tirerack.com sales dude, he said that Volvo had had an OEM spec for 205 55 16s as an option on new cars that year. I am pretty skeptical now, though, because the 50s were not available until November 7th whereas they had the 55s in stock now.

Thanks in advance to anyone who responds. I know it sounds pretty picky, but I want to get the right OEM tire size on the car, whatever it might be.
