Electronics & Battery - Help

Need some help from the resident electrical engineering types.

I believe my battery may be going/bad or the alternator is going or both. The other day, with the engine off the voltage reads 12.35V and engine on it reads 13.38V. Sound normal or bad??

Now the battery is dead or nearly so. It will operate the lights/alarm/locks but will not turn the car over. Is it time for a new battery? Or just jump start the car and take a long drive to recharge the battery??

How do you determine if there is drain on the battery with the ignition off (ie glove box light or trunk light or some other light)?? I have a multitester but am un-aware on how to test for "battery leakage".

Any other tests or evaluations to perform??

Thanks in advance.
