Odd stalling experience no codes 850 1995

started car drove about 2 miles to a drive through.

car stalled at the order box, restarted right away.

drove about 10 feet, then stalled again, again restarted right away

car is an auto tranny 2.3

did not set any codes, and ran just fine the rest of the day.

any idea on what could cause this?

I'm worried there may be a transmission issue as the car stalled when moved from park to drive with foot on the brake. (after the first stall, I turned off the A/C, and restarted in neutral, drove to window, and when I stopped it stalled. It repeated it when I restarted and moved from park to drive)

I then drove about 130 miles and no problems, lately the commute is usually about 2.5 miles so it may not get a full chance to warm up.

Plugs are volvo and have about 10K on them, I'll probably change them soon, but I doubt that's the problem, and the cap and rotor and plug wires are about a year old with about 15-20K on them
