S70 Alarm S70 1998

A.T.,

You should consider yourself lucky that your S70 didn't have the factory Volvo alarm because it's a piece of crap. It'll only trigger the alarm if the thief opens the doors or trunk - no use if the fellow smash the glass.

My advice is to go with Clifford. Go to their website and check out the various models. There is one for every budget, ranging from $ 200 Cdn to $ 3,000 Cdn.

You want at least the basic protection and convenience features:

1) Door protection
2) Hood and Trunk Protection
3) Glass-Breakage Sensor
4) Starter Kill / Engine Kill / Immobilizer
5) Remote Keyless Entry
6) Light Flash

To be honest, all of the factory alarm systems are piece of crap.

Good Luck !!
