Tell me about this S70 S70 1994

David Murray,

Nice ... you are only 2 years younger than me when I got my '98 Volvo S70 GLE from my parents as a 19th birthday gift back in May 1997.

However, you should have brought a BMW instead. Like I said numerous times on this forum, the only reason why I brought the S70 over a BMW 318i was because it had more room in the back seats. BTW, I am getting sick & tired of my Volvo giving me problems. Last Friday, while driving to an app't, my " check engine" light came on, took it to a Volvo, and the problem was that the vacuum line had broke that ended up costing me $ 300 Cdn. While my car was getting repaired, I walked across the street to the BMW and Lexus dealership. I was so close to signing a deal on the all-new 2003 Lexus ES300, or on a 2003 BMW 325Xi sedan. I don't blame people trading in their 1 to 2 years old Volvo for a 5 or 6 years old Lexus ( as told to and seen by me at this Lexus dealership and by the sales man ). A full-loaded ES300 ( with the AVS suspension system, Mark Levinson premium sound system, HID, electric rear sunshade, etc ... )is only $51k and it rides like a " TRUE LUXURY SEDAN " unlike the $60k Volvo S60 T5. One of my friends was thinking about getting an used 850 or S70, I told her to forget about buying a Volvo, so she ended up getting a 1999 Lexus ES300.
In conclusion, this is my 1st Volvo and it will be my last; unless Volvo starts improving their quality and value-for-the-money features. They still don't offer H.I.D., even on their $70k Cdn Volvo S80 T-6 75th Anniversary Edition. Hell !!!, even HID is an $1,200 option on the cheapest BMW - the $34k BMW 320i.

However, there are tons of companies out there that produces performance parts for Volvo. E-mail me and I will send you a list of some of the companies that produce parts for Volvo.

Don't expect as many companies producing performance parts for Volvo as BMW !!!
Volvo is still viewed as a " family sedan ". You know the car that your Dad or Mom buys to go to work or to the grocery store, not down to the drag strip !

Hope that helps,

--
