Details on flushing Trans Fluid 850

I did mine today. I have done it top hose and tran hose. I think it is better to use the tran hose. You have to take the battery out and the battery tray out but I think you get a better job this way. Also get a Haynes manual it has the details you need to service your tran. If you use the tran return line and disconnect it from the tran you will need a 3/8 inch outside diameter clear plastic line to do the job. You can get the line at LOWE"S or HOME DEPOT. This last time I used a synthetic ATF. I used 8 quarts and the flush was complete. Make sure you get a container at least 1 gallon size to catch your old ATF, of course you will have to empty it twice. Good Luck it is easy...................
