Details on flushing Trans Fluid 850

i just did mine last saturday. i change mine every october. i disconnected the the upper hose from the radiator (take off the clip). get a clear container and mark off 2 quart level (you can use an empty oil "can" and pour 2 quarts of water to measure the 2 qt level). snip off about 4-5 feet off an old garden hose, clean one end and attach to upper hose. start engine and turn off when old tranny fluid is just about at your 2 quart mark. pour 2 quarts of new fluid and repeat process till you've gone thru capacity of tranny fluid for your model. replace hose (may be advisable to use that plastic tie thingy so it does not pop off). run engine till it gets hot. slowly go thru the gears, wait 2 minutes and measure. top off if needed. volvos are one of the easiest cars to do a flush.
regards
