Transmission Flush Question 850 1995

from what i have heard and done, if you do it the haynes manual way, you have to remove and reinstall the battery to gain access to the trans line. if you unplug the top line, line going into the rad, then you don't have to remove the battery. it doesn't flush the rad unfortunately. i used 12 quarts to flush only because at $1.50/ quart of castrol it not much to flush it a few more times.
