Rear Main oil seal 850 1996

Hello!

So, no crap, how difficult is it really to change rear main oil seal??

Only just serviced my 855 2.5 litre ten valve, including auto transmission fluid, and I'm 99.9% sure rear main has sprung a leak.

Add to that this year the evaporator failed - but everyone reckoned that the evaporator is a really difficult job, but no offence, i did it in 7 hours including accumulator (excluding re-gass) and first time i've done it.

But the prospect of removing the gearbox...............now theres a thought!!

Took auto box out of my 740 turbo - not difficult but VERY heavy.

So what about the 850? Easy? or really difficult...............

Parts seem straight forward.........the seal itself and new bolts/nuts for the subframe.

Any comments please!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many thanks,

Kevin

ps - maybe i'll buy a decent car one day!!!!!!!!!!! But hooked on these Volvos..........even bought a 144.........
