I need to get better tires C70 2000

I put 2 Dunlop SP Sport 5000's on the front wheels after I brushed a curb and shredded one of the o.e. Pirelli 6000 Veloce.

I'm not one to usually make claims about anything, much less tires, before thousands of miles, however, I'm really pleased w/ the last few hundred miles since these (2) new Dunlops. Though I have just 22,000 miles on the car overall, I find a definite *handling* improvement - and I haven't been agressive, because I want to wear these in properly.

Admittedly this tire has some great specs. It's both a 'Z' rated and has the "AA" grade for traction due to the wet braking rating (though we can take such ratings w/ a grain of salt). To be honest, I was never a Dunlop fan until I enjoyed 2 sets of Dunlop D60A2's on my Miata - and the second set is still a-going.

I'm holding the other Pirelli w/ only 22,000 miles aside in case I obtain another Volvo Centaurus wheel to have a matching wheel/tire available in the garage. I'd love to put a full size spare in trunk, but w/ a convertible it isn't practical to have the raised area in the trunk. Why Volvo has been like so many others and has failed to provide adequate space for a "flat" trunk w/ a full size spare is beyond me....

Regards all.
